Full-Time About the Opportunity A highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts, Estates & Tax Attorney to join its sophisticated private client practice. This position is ideal for an accomplished attorney with significant experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on complex estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax matters. The successful candidate will have deep technical knowledge of estate, gift, and trust taxation and significant experience drafting sophisticated estate planning structures, including complex irrevocable trusts. Responsibilities Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate and tax planning matters. Develop and implement complex wealth transfer and estate planning strategies. Draft and review sophisticated irrevocable trusts and related estate planning documents. Advise clients regarding federal estate and gift tax planning. Prepare or oversee matters involving Federal Estate and Gift Tax Returns . Work with Estate and Trust Income Tax Returns and related planning strategies. Counsel business owners regarding wealth transfer, succession, and estate planning. Manage complex client relationships and provide strategic legal and tax advice. Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on sophisticated client matters. Help support the continued growth and development of the private client practice. Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law. Approximately 14-20 years of relevant Trusts & Estates experience. Significant experience working with high-net-worth clients and business owners. Strong background in estate, gift, and trust taxation. Experience with Federal Estate and Gift Tax Returns. Experience with Estate and Trust Income Tax Returns. Significant experience drafting sophisticated and complex irrevocable trusts. Excellent technical, analytical, drafting, and client relationship skills. Preferred Qualifications LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred. Junior Partner, Partner, Shareholder, Counsel, or Senior Counsel experience. Experience with sophisticated wealth transfer planning. Experience advising business owners regarding succession and multigenerational wealth planning. Established reputation in the Trusts & Estates and private client community.
