Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney to support a busy litigation practice in Michigan. This role is suited for a self-directed legal specialist who can manage active matters, conduct thorough legal analysis, and prepare persuasive written work for a variety of disputes. The position offers the opportunity to handle cases involving civil litigation matters while working closely with clients and contributing to case strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, maintaining ownership of strategy, deadlines, and day-to-day case progress.
  • Conduct legal research and translate findings into well-supported motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
  • Prepare for and take depositions, including witness examination, document review, and follow-up analysis to support case development.
  • Handle discovery activities by drafting responses, reviewing produced materials, and identifying key facts relevant to liability and damages.
  • Represent clients in hearings, motion arguments, and other courtroom proceedings with clear and effective oral advocacy.
  • Evaluate claims involving commercial disputes, premises liability, transportation matters, negligence, property damage, construction issues, and personal injury allegations.
  • Review medical documentation and other evidentiary materials to assess case value, causation, and litigation risk.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel to move matters forward efficiently and effectively
