In-person | Downtown Royal Oak Experienced Litigation Attorney Seward Henderson PLLC is a boutique civil defense and insurance defense litigation firm representing municipalities, law enforcement agencies, EMS providers, insurers, and private organizations in complex state and federal litigation throughout Michigan. Our matters regularly involve high-exposure disputes requiring strong legal judgment, disciplined preparation, and the ability to manage active litigation responsibilities in a fast-moving environment. This role is designed for experienced attorneys who are already practicing litigation and want to continue developing through substantive casework, courtroom exposure, and direct involvement in litigation strategy. What You Will Do Attorneys are trusted with active litigation responsibilities and work closely with experienced litigators on: Motion practice, briefing, and legal research Depositions, hearings, and court appearances Case strategy and litigation development Client, expert, and witness communication Trial preparation and substantive defense work Complex municipal and insurance defense matters in state and federal court Practice Areas Include §1983 civil rights litigation Municipal liability defense Law enforcement defense EMS defense Premises liability Complex civil and insurance defense litigation What This Role Is Not This is not a document review position or an entry-level training role. Attorneys in this position are expected to actively contribute to litigation work, case development, and courtroom preparation. Attorneys work directly on active cases, receive ongoing feedback from experienced litigators, and are expected to develop strong litigation instincts through real case involvement—not passive observation.
