Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join one of our client firms. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience who is looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced practice. The role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and the ability to manage cases through all stages of litigation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Handle written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings
- Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal arguments
- Take and defend depositions, including party and witness depositions
- Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and other proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
- Maintain accurate and timely billing records
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable client outcomes Qualifications
- 2-6 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active admission and good standing with the state bar
- Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Trial preparation experience is a plus.
