Job Description
A respected and growing law firm in the Kansas City area is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its expanding litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex insurance coverage matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
Represent insurers in first- and third-party insurance coverage matters. Analyze coverage issues involving commercial and personal insurance policies. Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, dispositive motions, and legal memoranda. Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Advise clients on coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and risk exposure. Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective litigation and coverage strategies.Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Missouri license (Kansas license or ability to obtain is a plus). 2+ years of insurance coverage or civil litigation experience. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Experience managing cases and communicating directly with clients.
