Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic legal team as a Family Law Paralegal, where your expertise will be instrumental in supporting complex family law cases and delivering exceptional client service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys, manage diverse legal tasks, and contribute to meaningful resolutions for families navigating sensitive legal matters. Duties Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to family law matters such as divorce and child custody. Conduct legal research. Manage and organize case files using a document management system called Smokeball, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all case-related documents. Review and analyze legal documents such as contracts, court filings, and discovery materials for accuracy and completeness. Support litigation processes by coordinating court filings, scheduling hearings, and tracking deadlines in compliance with jurisdictional requirements. Provide administrative support, including data entry, proofreading legal documents, transcription of recorded statements or meetings, and maintaining filing systems. Facilitate communication with clients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Experience Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure error-free work product. Strong communication skills combined with effective techniques to gather accurate information from clients and witnesses. Clerical experience involving filing, data entry, document review, transcription, and administrative support functions necessary for efficient office operations.
