The Family Partner provides assessment, counseling, and treatment services to adolescents involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide peer support and mentorship to families of youth receiving services within the DJJ Mental Health Program. Assist families in understanding the behavioral health treatment process and navigating community resources and service systems. Encourage family participation in treatment planning, meetings, and services to support youth progress and recovery. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, residential staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Support families in developing advocacy skills to effectively communicate their needs within the mental health and juvenile justice systems. Facilitate family engagement activities, education sessions, and support groups when appropriate. Help families identify strengths and develop strategies that promote stability, resilience, and successful reunification when applicable. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program requirements and organizational policies. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision as required. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with program standards, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality regulations.
