Job Description
Howard Stallings Law Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented transactional attorney to join our New Bern law office. Headquartered in Raleigh, Howard Stallings is a growing mid-sized law firm with approximately 20 attorneys and offices in Raleigh, New Bern and Morehead City. Currently, our New Bern office is staffed by two partners and three staff members who regularly serve clients across eastern North Carolina. The position will involve a broad range of transactional work and client responsibilities, including:
- Direct, hands-on client interaction, with an emphasis on responsive communication and practical legal guidance.
- Estate planning and estate administration.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal agreements.
- Business formation, corporate governance matters, and business transactions.
- Commercial real estate transactions.
- Legal research and analysis.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaboration with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional client service.
- Accurate timekeeping and prompt billing practices.
Qualifications:
Required- Active license to practice law in North Carolina and good standing with the North Carolina State Bar. (We will consider those currently awaiting NC Bar results.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and other standard business applications. Preferred
- Experience in transactional law, including estate planning, business, and/or commercial real estate.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearWork Location:
