Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join our dedicated legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding clients through complex estate planning strategies, probate processes, and related legal matters. Your expertise will help clients secure their legacy, ensure smooth estate administration, and navigate the intricacies of estate and trust laws. Responsibilities Draft comprehensive estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. Manage probate proceedings from initial filings through estate settlement, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Provide legal counsel on estate and trust administration, including fiduciary duties and beneficiary rights. Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on evolving laws. Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes related to estate matters, family law issues, or probate conflicts. Prepare for court depositions, trial proceedings, and court motions with meticulous attention to procedural law requirements. Collaborate with clients to develop tailored estate plans that incorporate tax considerations, asset protection, and family dynamics. Maintain accurate case management records and ensure timely communication with clients regarding case status updates. Engage in general litigation practices as needed, including personal injury law or employment law cases that intersect with estate issues. Conduct research on statutory legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including tribal law & regulations where applicable. Experience Proven experience practicing estate planning and probate law with a strong understanding of related legal fields such as family law, securities law, employment law, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, and general & commercial litigation. Demonstrated ability to draft contracts, prepare legal motions, and conduct procedural law research effectively. Experience representing clients in court depositions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations with a focus on legal advocacy. Familiarity with legal case management software such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for comprehensive research purposes. Prior work experience in a law office setting handling complex legal cases involving statutory research and client communication skills. Knowledge of patent law or workers' compensation law is a plus but not required; however, versatility across multiple legal disciplines is highly valued. Strong writing skills for clear legal drafting and persuasive advocacy in both written and oral formats. Pay:
$69,038.92 - $83,143.65 per year
