The firm is led by partners Ken Harrell and Leigh Raffauf, who combine traditional legal expertise with technologically advanced strategies. They focus on personal injury matters including slip and fall accidents, motor vehicle accidents involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, and pedestrians, and PIP arbitrations. The firm also represents clients in cases involving Uber and Lyft, supporting drivers, passengers, and other motorists in navigating insurance claims and protecting their rights. Harrell Law Firm LLC is growing rapidly and has plans for future expansion, offering opportunities for professional development in a dynamic environment. Role Description The Associate will work full time on-site in North Bergen, NJ, supporting the firm's personal injury practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, and preparing demand packages and settlement communications. The Associate will attend court appearances, arbitrations, depositions, and client meetings, and will assist in case strategy development with the partners. Additional tasks include reviewing medical records, coordinating with experts and insurance carriers, managing case files, and maintaining clear, professional communication with clients and opposing counsel. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice law in New Jersey. Experience or strong interest in personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and insurance-related matters (PIP, rideshare claims). Proficiency in legal research and writing, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demand letters. Ability to analyze medical records and accident reports, evaluate liability and damages, and develop case strategies. Strong organizational and case management skills, including attention to detail and ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously. Professional communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel. Comfort with legal technology and case management software, and willingness to learn new tools that support efficient practice. Ability to work collaboratively with partners and staff, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of integrity and client service. Prior clerkship, internship, or associate experience in litigation or personal injury is preferred but not required.
