This is not a traditional associate position - it's an opportunity for a long-term role and considerable growth at a stable firm. We are looking for responsible candidates who take ownership of their work and want to play a purposeful role in developing and maintaining client relationships and shaping the future of our firm.
What You'll Do:
Assist with all aspects of disputes that arise in Nevada's construction industry, including enforcing the client's contractual rights and statutory rights under NRS 108 and NRS 624. Advocate in Nevada state and federal courts. Team with 1-2 other attorneys and other staff on various cases. Create litigation work product like pleadings, briefs, written discovery requests and responses, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with clients. Collaborate directly with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada. Self-motivation. Sound judgment. Ability to work independently and on teams as needed. Meaningful experience in commercial litigation (3-7 years). Experience in construction litigation and construction law is a plus, but not required - we are willing to invest in developing the right candidate's skills in this area. Strong research, writing, oral advocacy, case management, and time management skills. Interest in further developing litigation skill set and experience. Desire for long-term employ and growth with the firm.
