Job Description
Kirschenbaum & Kirschenbaum, P.C., a well-established and growing law firm concentrating in creditors' rights, commercial collections, and litigation, is seeking an ambitious Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate, attorney awaiting bar admission, or newly admitted attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience and develop a strong foundation in courtroom practice. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume collections and litigation caseload under attorney supervision. Appear in court for conferences, motions, hearings, and related proceedings. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, settlement agreements, and correspondence. Negotiate resolutions with opposing counsel and pro se defendants. Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses. Utilize case management software to monitor deadlines and case progress. Work closely with clients to achieve favorable outcomes efficiently and professionally. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Admitted to the New York State Bar or awaiting bar examination results/admission. Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Courtroom, internship, clinic, or moot court experience is a plus, but not required.
