Position Summary:
The Associate Attorney will assist in and manage a variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts from inception through resolution. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients while handling pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation. This position provides substantial opportunities for professional development, direct client interaction, and courtroom experience.
Responsibilities:
Handle all phases of litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals. Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, memoranda of law, and other litigation-related documents. Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies. Manage written discovery, document review, and e-discovery. Take and defend depositions. Attend and participate in court conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses. Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, hearings, and trial. Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters. Maintain case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
