Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including general liability and medical malpractice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your litigation skills while contributing to a collaborative and innovative legal environment. Responsibilities Manage a broad spectrum of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, general liability and medical malpractice. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions and briefs. Attend depositions, court conferences and mediations. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable resolutions for clients. Maintain detailed case files and ensure timely compliance with all procedural deadlines. Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, witnesses, and experts to facilitate case progress and foster trust. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in general & commercial litigation, personal injury law, or insurance defense work. Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal motion preparation, and trial preparation techniques. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw; excellent legal writing skills. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Strong client communication skills; ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:
