Job Description

Seeking a skilled real estate attorney to join a full-service South Carolina based law firm. The attorney will advise clients on commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leases, financing, development, zoning, and land use matters. Responsibilities include conducting due diligence, drafting and negotiating contracts and closing documents, coordinating with lenders, title companies, surveyors and municipal authorities, resolving title and boundary issues, and managing closings. Must provide practical, business-focused legal counsel to owners, developers, lenders, investors, and tenants, while supporting litigation and dispute-resolution efforts as needed. Ideal candidates will have strong transactional experience, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, knowledge of local real estate and land-use laws and regulations, and the ability to build client relationships. Bar admission in South Carolina (or willingness to obtain) and prior experience in a law firm or corporate real estate practice preferred.
