Job Description

We are seeking an experienced in-house attorney to join our team in downtown Lake Oswego. You'll work closely with our General Counsel and partner directly with ownership across a broad mix of legal matters supporting the company's operations. This is a hands-on, business-facing role with significant exposure to leadership and real ownership of how legal work gets done. This is not an entry-level position — we're looking for someone who can operate independently from day one. What you'll do Advise on loan servicing and mortgage-related legal matters Handle creditor rights matters, including defaults, workouts, collections, and related proceedings Support commercial real estate transactions and related agreements as needed Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents Partner with the General Counsel and ownership on both strategic and day-to-day legal needs Manage outside counsel and help identify and mitigate legal and compliance risk Required qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar 5+ years of relevant legal experience Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and directly with ownership and senior leadership Preferred experience Loan servicing or mortgage industry experience Creditor rights experience Active bar admission in additional states A plus (not required) Tax experience Trusts and estates experience
