Job Description
Associate Counsel Our client is seeking a pragmatic and highly self-sufficient Associate Counsel to join a growing, privately held organization with significant real estate and operational complexity. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys hands-on legal work, values stability, and prefers a close partnership with executive leadership rather than a traditional law firm track. The position will support an expanding property portfolio. This role is onsite in Tigard, Oregon. Associate Counsel Responsibilities Lead all real estate-related legal activities, including contracts, transactions, acquisitions, leasing matters, and development support. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation and business alignment. Conduct independent legal research and manage documentation without dedicated paralegal support. Oversee and coordinate with outside counsel when specialized expertise or additional capacity is required. Associate Counsel Qualifications Active license in good standing with the Oregon State Bar. Demonstrated experience with real estate contracts, transactions, or property-related legal matters. Strong ability to work independently and manage a high volume of legal documentation. Practical, business-oriented mindset with clear and effective communication skills. Early-to-mid career attorney seeking a long-term, non-traditional in-house legal role.
