Job Description

  • Overview:
  • We are seeking an Associate to join our legal team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, writing, and litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic legal environment. Charlton Law is an expanding legal practice with a small-firm environment that prides itself on work-life balance and the opportunity for mentorship in a variety of practice areas. With offices in Sarver, Butler, and Ford City and attorneys practicing in criminal, civil, business, family, municipal, estate planning, and transactional matters, Charlton Law offers attorneys the opportunity to gain experience in their chosen area of interest.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, leases, etc.
  • Assist with case preparation and management
  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions
  • Support attorneys in court proceedings
  • Attend court proceedings
  • Perform administrative tasks related to legal matters
  • Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor required
  • Pennsylvania Bar Admission required
  • Strong research skills
  • Two to four years of previous legal experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases, develop legal expertise, and contribute to the success of our legal practice.
