Role:
We're looking for a high-impact attorney to join DICK'S Sporting Goods' in-house legal team and play a key role in advancing our growth strategy. This position sits at the center of our most important commercial and strategic initiatives-partnering closely with business leaders to structure, negotiate, and execute a wide range of complex transactions. This is an opportunity for a collaborative, business-minded lawyer who enjoys working at pace, solving complex problems, and helping drive meaningful enterprise initiatives.

Pittsburgh, PA What You'll Do:
Lead and Support Commercial Transactions Structure, negotiate, and draft a broad range of agreements, including: Strategic partnerships and collaboration agreements Term sheets, letters of intent, and joint business arrangements Licensing, merchandising, vendor, and services agreements Drive deals from initial concept through execution, including timeline management and stakeholder alignment Advise on Strategic Initiatives Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice throughout the deal lifecycle Identify and assess legal, regulatory, and business risks, and develop solutions to move initiatives forward Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across merchandising, marketing, technology, finance, and business development Collaborate Across the Enterprise Work side-by-side with internal stakeholders to advance key growth and innovation initiatives Coordinate with subject matter experts across the legal team to ensure comprehensive support Manage Outside Counsel & Drive Efficiency Engage and manage outside counsel on complex matters and transactions Support continuous improvement efforts, including process optimization and data-driven decision making within the legal function
What We're Looking For:
Experience & Background 3-5+ years of legal experience, ideally with a top law firm and/or in-house legal department Strong experience in commercial transactions and deal work; M&A experience is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Skills & Capabilities Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills Business-oriented mindset with the ability to translate legal concepts into practical advice Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Highly collaborative, team-oriented approach Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Degree JD Degree 3-5 years of experience Experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
