Job Description

Associate Attorney Full-Time Fairfax County, VA (Remote) Job description Our rapidly growing regional Creditors' Rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to oversee legal matters from inception through post-judgment remedies. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality legal representation, treat all clients with fairness and respect, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. We are seeking someone who embodies our core values: High-Quality Work, Effective Communication, and Ownership. This is primarily a remote position based in the Fairfax County, Northern Virginia area, with occasional in-person requirements for court appearances and on-site meetings.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates exceptional legal research, writing and oral communication skills. Handles high volume caseload and provides expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks. Negotiates with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases. Willing to travel to various courts within the state of Virginia, if needed, as legal representation in various legal proceeds and to attend court hearings. Works with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.
Requirements:
0-3 years' experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings and associated regulations. J.D. from an accredited law school with an Active license to practice law in VA. A license to practice law in other states in our footprint (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage is a plus but not mandatory. Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
