Job Description

Associate Attorney - Personal Injury Litigation This is a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to build a long-term career, gain substantial courtroom experience, and grow alongside a rapidly expanding practice. We are looking for someone who is driven, takes ownership of their cases, and is excited to help grow the firm through exceptional client service, litigation skills, and business development. Responsibilities Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial. Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, written discovery, motions, and legal briefs. Attend court hearings, case evaluations, facilitation, and motion hearings. Take and defend depositions. Prepare cases for mediation, facilitation, and trial. First-chair or second-chair trials when appropriate. Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers. Work collaboratively with support staff to move cases efficiently. Assist with business development and community networking to help grow the firm's client base. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Litigation experience preferred (personal injury experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate). Strong writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills. Comfortable making court appearances and handling depositions. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a litigation caseload. Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to grow professionally.
