FIRM OVERVIEW
Garvey, Shearer, Nordstrom, PSC ("GSN") is a full-service law firm with offices in both Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. Founded in 2010, GSN represents both individuals and corporations in a wide array of legal areas, including insurance defense, business law, employment law, trucking and transportation law, construction law, personal injury claims, and appellate practice. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing team.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The Associate Attorney will work with, and at the direction of, partners and senior attorneys on a variety of legal areas, including litigation and appellate matters. The Associate Attorney's responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Attending hearings and arguing motions in court; Attending, taking, and defending depositions; Drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal memoranda; Performing legal research; Meeting with clients, witnesses, and experts; Drafting and answering written discovery requests; Attending site inspections or investigations with expert witnesses.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Law Degree from an accredited College or University; Licensed to practice law in Ohio (licensure in Kentucky and/or Indiana is a plus); Strong researching skills; Ability to manage a variety of tasks independently; Ability to meet and comply with deadlines; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work well with a team.
