Attorney for Work on Independent Contractor Basis Law Office of Joseph Perl Watertown, MA Job Details Contract $100 - $200 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Bar Full Job Description The Law Office of Joseph Perl is seeking a Massachusetts-licensed attorney to assist on an as-needed basis with civil litigation (general breach of contract matters) and judgment enforcement work. Work is flexible in terms of how many hours a week the candidate works, and work load can be based on candidate's availability. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in courts throughout Massachusetts, including federal court. There is also the opportunity to work on New York cases- both state and federal. Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings Conduct legal research Handle discovery and motion practice Assist with judgment enforcement matters Attend court hearings when necessary Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts Qualifications Massachusetts law license in good standing Good people skills Civil litigation experience is a plus, but newer attorneys are welcomed to apply Tech savviness is a plus.
