First-Chair Trial Advocacy & Case Management Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Trial Attorney with proven, first-chair trial experience to join our dynamic team. We believe that trial mastery isn't defined strictly by years of practice-whether you are a highly efficient 3-year associate with substantial courtroom time or a seasoned 10-year practitioner, your ability to command a courtroom is what matters most. In this role, you will independently manage your own caseload from inception through verdict, utilizing our flexible hybrid work structure to deliver elite representation. Key Responsibilities
First-Chair Advocacy:
Serve as lead counsel in civil trials, commanding the courtroom, presenting evidence, and delivering arguments before a judge and jury.
Case Autonomy:
Manage an active civil litigation caseload independently from initial intake through final resolution or verdict.
Trial Preparation:
Direct the complete trial preparation pipeline, including witness preparation, exhibit curation, and the drafting of pre-trial motions.
Litigation Operations:
Handle depositions, substantive motion practice, court appearances, and hearings as required by case needs.
Collaboration:
Participate in mandatory monthly in-office collaboration days and quarterly team retreats to align on firm strategy and client success. Qualifications
Experience:
Generally seeking 6-10 years of litigation experience, though candidates with exceptional first-chair trial experience outside this window will be highly considered.
Bar Admission:
Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
Litigation Profile:
Must have verifiable experience first-chairing trials and the ability to manage complex cases with full autonomy.

Base Salary:
$130,000
- $145,000 per year (Based on 1,550 billable hours).
Total Compensation Target:
Approximately $170,000
- $185,000 per year for 1,750 billable hours, driven by our performance bonus structure:
- 1,551
- 1,650 billable hours: $15,000 bonus (pro rata)
- 1,651
- 1,750 billable hours: $25,000 bonus (pro rata)
- 1,751+ billable hours: Discretionary tier
Final Package:
