$125,000•175,000 + Discretionary Bonus Our client, a growing commercial finance company specializing in commercial-purpose lending for residential real estate transactions, is seeking its first in-house attorney to support a high-volume lending practice and serve as a trusted legal advisor across the organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial attorney who is looking to take ownership of a broad legal function while receiving mentorship from experienced outside counsel. The company closes approximately 450-500 real estate transactions annually and is looking for an attorney who is eager to learn the business, build internal processes, and grow with the organization. Responsibilities Prepare and review commercial loan documents for residential real estate transactions. Conduct title review and due diligence. Prepare HUD settlement statements and coordinate title insurance matters. Work closely with outside counsel to facilitate timely and efficient loan closings. Support litigation and foreclosure matters as needed. Assist with general corporate legal matters, including annual filings, corporate governance, and maintaining corporate records. Partner with leadership on legal issues impacting the business. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active admission to the Massachusetts Bar. Approximately 3-5 years of legal experience. Strong analytical, organizational, and drafting skills. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership. Real estate experience is not required . Candidates from other practice areas who are interested in developing a real estate finance practice are encouraged to apply. Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $125,000•175,000, depending on experience. Discretionary annual bonus. Blue Cross Blue Shield medical insurance (50% employer contribution). Dental and vision insurance (50% employer contribution). Retirement plan launching soon. Opportunity for occasional remote work (1-2 days as needed) to support work-life balance.
