Unlike traditional law firms, we operate on a flat-fee model with no billable hour requirements, allowing our attorneys to focus on client outcomes rather than time tracking. As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking motivated Criminal Defense Attorneys to join our Charleston team.
Position Overview:
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, client interaction, and hands-on case management. Attorneys will manage a variety of criminal matters while working alongside an experienced legal team dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. We are open to attorneys with 1-3 years of experience as well as more experienced practitioners. Responsibilities
Represent clients in criminal matters throughout South Carolina
Conduct client consultations and case evaluations
Appear in court for hearings, motions, plea negotiations, and trials
Draft legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Develop case strategies and prepare cases for litigation
Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure exceptional client service Qualifications
Active South Carolina Bar License required
403 Compliant for South Carolina
Criminal defense, prosecution, or relevant litigation experience preferred
Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
Excellent legal research and writing abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required
Compensation:
Significant compensation review after 90 days with performance-based increases
