Job Description
Back Employment Counsel Employment Falls Church , California 17949 Sep 8, 2026 Our customer, a leading beverage manufacturer in the United States, is seeking a Temporary Employment Counsel (California-licensed) to support its in-house legal team on a remote basis. This role is ideal for an attorney with deep experience in California employment law , workplace investigations, EEOC responses, employment counseling, and litigation support.

$85-$100/hr (on W2), commensurate with experienceKey Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counseling to HR and business stakeholders. Handle EEOC charges , administrative claims, and employment-related agency matters. Conduct and advise on workplace, employee relations, and HR investigations. Support employment litigation matters, including discovery, document review, and case management activities. Assess legal risk and provide practical, business-oriented recommendations to management. Review and advise on employment policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives. Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and other employment-related legal matters. Support additional employment, labor, and litigation-related projects as needed.Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active California bar license in good standing. Significant experience practicing California employment law. 5+ years of experience providing employment counseling to HR and business teams. Proven experience handling EEOC charges and administrative agency responses. Experience conducting workplace investigations involving employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Employment litigation experience, including discovery management. Strong ability to independently manage a diverse workload in a remote environment. Excellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
