We are dedicated to empowering families with the tools to avoid court and conflict. We are small but growing, and we want members on our team who want to make a difference by helping to minimize the pain and uncertainty of navigating the care or loss of a loved one. You help the firm achieve its goals, and it will help you achieve yours. Do you want to make an impact on people's lives not just a paycheck? Do you want work life balance to be with your kids? Our firm wants those things for its team members, too. But you must put in the investment to see the reward. We exist to help families face hard truths, make real decisions, and build a lasting legacy — before crisis forces their hand. We care deeply about our clients, and we build lasting relationships so that when a loved one gets sick or passes away, they already trust us to handle it. We are organized, proactive, and intentional. We do NOT deal with "putting out fires." This office does not handle contested matters or litigation. The Associate Attorney works directly with clients from intake through completion — leading client consultations, drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, guiding clients through the signing process, and managing probate and trust administration matters start to finish. You will have real responsibility from day one. You will be trusted to make decisions, run client relationships, and deliver results without being micromanaged. In return, you will be held to a high standard — by the firm and by yourself. Duties Managers estate planning, probate, trust administration, and incapacity planning matters from engagement through close. Conducts client intake meetings, design meetings, signing meetings, and post-signing follow-up. Drafts customized estate-planning documents using WealthCounsel and other relevant platforms (revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, POAs, healthcare directives, HIPAA releases, deeds, beneficiary designations, business succession documents). Reviews and approves work product prepared by Paralegal and Legal Assistant before client delivery. Supervises trust funding, deed preparation and recording, beneficiary designation updates, and asset retitling. Maintains drafting standards and contributes to firm template library. Supervises Paralegal and Legal Assistant on matter-level work; provides timely, specific feedback. If the statements below appeal to you, then you may be our next attorney! You take pride in your work. You have a sickening degree of attention to detail. You enjoy getting to know your clients and care about delivering the best work product to them. You are a problem-solver who looks for best ways of doing things. You are tech savvy and appreciate efficiency. You enjoy working with a team. We love to help people learn and grow. But we don't have the time for that right now. We need an attorney with experience. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. This is a full-time job where you are expected to be available to support the legal team and clients, so you absolutely must be able to work for 40 hours per week. We would prefer a staff member who can work hybrid from St. Louis area location. However, we are open to hiring a remote candidate. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability. Requirements/Qualifications Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the State of Missouri in good standing. Five or more years of post-bar experience, with at least three years focused on estate planning, probate, and/or trust administration strongly preferred. Direct experience supervising paralegals and legal assistants preferred. WealthCounsel and/or ElderCounsel drafting experience strongly preferred. Full-time salaried position but part-time negotiable if you can meet a minimum of 30 hours a week
