Consultation & Advice:
With your experience and expertise, you will advise agency management, supervisors and employees within your assigned divisions regarding a full array of human resources related activities, including: Employee performance Corrective and disciplinary matters Organizational management Position allocation Reasonable accommodationInvestigations and Corrective/Disciplinary Action:
You will conduct personnel investigations within your assigned divisions that may result in corrective or disciplinary action.These investigations may include:
Fact finding discussions with management, supervisors, and staff Preparing oral or written reports for the appointing authority Drafting and/or editing corrective action memoranda, pre-disciplinary letters, disciplinary letters, and other communication Acting in a supportive role when attending pre-disciplinary and disciplinary meetingsReasonable Accommodation:
You will work with employees and managers to explore employees' medically-related workplace needs, such as: Communicating with the employee, the employee's health care provider(s), and management to evaluate the employee's request Establishing the existence of a disability Identifying and implementing an accommodation that will effectively overcome the workplace limitations presentedProject and Program Coordination:
You will lead efforts to improve processes and programs, including: Projects that improve or develop programs within HR on a permanent or rotating basis Exploring assigned topics individually or through committee to determine ways to improve a current process or to create a new processTraining & Other Duties:
You will work closely with the HR Training and Development staff to develop, advise, and train agency staff on a variety of human resources-related topics, which may include: Inclusion and belonging Successful supervision Sexual harassment awareness and prevention New employee orientation Hiring and performing reference checks You will also represent the agency at formal and informal hearings related to: Grievances Allocation Rule violations Unemployment insurance benefits The Personnel Resources Board, in conjunction with the assigned Assistant Attorney General If you are looking for a challenge and diverse opportunity, then this is the position for you! Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree- with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences or related field AND Three years of broad-based human resource experience, including facilitating organizational development or change, and advising and consulting on human resource issues.
- Additional years of qualifying experience may substitute year-for-year for education.
