Pay:
$48,000/year base salary + performance-based bonuses (total compensation up to $70,000-$90,000/year) About the RoleJob Description We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney to join our U.S. office on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position with on-site availability required Monday through Friday. Part-time candidates are also welcome to apply. Our firm handles a broad range of immigration matters, with a primary focus on employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and investor visas. Familiarity with additional immigration areas is always a plus, though no candidate is expected to have expertise across every visa category. The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for reviewing immigration forms, petitions, applications, and supporting documents prepared by our paralegal team prior to submission or client delivery. The attorney must ensure that all work is accurate, complete, and fully compliant with USCIS requirements and applicable immigration law. The attorney will also be required to attend USCIS interviews with clients as needed, providing legal support and representation throughout the interview process. Key Responsibilities Review immigration forms, petitions, applications, declarations, cover letters, and supporting documents prepared by the paralegal team. Ensure all immigration forms and case documents are accurate, complete, and properly organized before filing. Provide legal advice and guidance on immigration cases when additional information, documents, corrections, or next steps are required. Identify missing information, inconsistencies, errors, or potential legal issues in case files. Advise the team on what action needs to be taken when a case requires additional evidence, clarification, or legal review. Accompany clients to USCIS interviews and provide legal representation and support during the interview process, as needed. Communicate with internal team members regarding corrections, case strategy, and documentation requirements. Assist with immigration case review, legal research, drafting notes, and preparing recommendations. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling client information. Manage assigned cases from intake through completion, including legal strategy, client communication, and case milestones. Stay current on changes in U.S. immigration law, USCIS policy, and agency guidance, and advise the team accordingly. Support with immigration-related legal and administrative case review as needed. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school. Active admission to a U.S. State Bar in good standing required; Texas State Bar strongly preferred. 2-5 years of immigration law experience required. Experience with employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and/or investor visas is strongly preferred. Experience in other areas such as removal proceedings or asylum is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to carefully review legal documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Experience reviewing work prepared by paralegals and legal assistants is a plus. Preferred Skills Located in the Houston, TX area or within 75 miles preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (not required). Experience representing clients before USCIS; EOIR experience is a plus. Proficiency with case management tools such as Clio and Docketwise.Benefits:
