RLS engages co-counsel with experienced tax attorneys outside of Arizona to provide local representation. This position will be responsible case intake, client engagement, case assignment, supervision and billing of cases filed outside Arizona. Remote supervision only will be required, and the Litigation Management Attorney will not be asked to travel, appear at local hearings, or practice law outside of Arizona. Case supervision responsibilities require the candidate to have experience with civil litigation and the management of timely procedures. The cases being supervised all involve tax issues and training in this area of tax law will be provided. The ideal candidate will be experienced with the civil litigation process, and capable of communicating effectively with clients and attorneys concerning the status of their cases. This attorney will communicate regularly with co-counsel to obtain case updates and will timely record the status of cases in the RLS case management system. At the conclusion of cases, the Litigation Management Attorney will review case settlement documentation, billing details, and approve final invoices. The Litigation Management Attorney will serve as a point of contact for client questions and concerns. This position requires adherence to the rules of the Arizona Supreme Court and the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration regulating the practice of law as conducted by an Arizona Alternative Business Structure. The Litigation Management Attorney will work closely with the RLS litigation operations and the RLS Compliance Lawyer and Senior Attorney. The Litigation Management Attorney team will also be asked to support client engagement, firm reporting, fee billing and invoicing, and ethical compliance. This is a hybrid role in Scottsdale, AZ with about 2 days onsite and 3 days work from home. Must reside in the Scottsdale area and an Active member of the State Bar of Arizona.
