Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Attorney (Remote - CA Focused)

We are a privately owned firm dedicated to supporting affordable housing and community development projects nationwide. Our team provides specialized legal counsel to developers, nonprofits, and investors working with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). We value collaboration, integrity, and long-term relationships, and we're seeking an experienced attorney to join our growing practice.
Position Overview:
We're looking for a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Attorney who can bring expertise and passion to our affordable housing clients. This role is fully remote, with flexibility to work from anywhere. Candidates licensed in California are preferred, though we're open to attorneys willing to become licensed in California.

Responsibilities:
Provide counsel on LIHTC transactions, partnerships, and compliance Draft and review legal agreements, financing documents, and regulatory filings Advise nonprofit and for-profit developers on affordable housing projects Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality, timely legal services Stay current on federal and state LIHTC regulations and housing policy
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school Active license in California (or willingness to become licensed) 3+ years of experience with LIHTC, affordable housing finance, or related real estate/tax law Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment How to
