Job Description
Welcome to The Freelance Firm! We are a national network of experienced, high
- level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on
- demand support for both short
- term and long
- term legal projects for our client law firms.
Attorney Responsibilities:
Provide in- person coverage for hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings as needed Provide virtual hearing and deposition coverage when required Review employment law case files and assist with case strategy Support wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and other plaintiff
- side employment matters Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other employment law documents Assist with case management and help move matters forward efficiently Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support ongoing litigation matters
Attorney Requirements:
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of West Virginia Located in North or Central West Virginia, preferably in or near the Morgantown area Minimum of 5+ years of plaintiff- side employment law experience Experience handling wrongful termination and other employment
- related claims Comfortable providing both in
- person and virtual hearing/deposition coverage Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills Experience with case review, litigation strategy, and case management Organized, detail
- oriented, and able to meet deadlines Self
