Job Description

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactional Attorney to join its growing real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and will be comfortable managing matters independently while working closely with clients, lenders, brokers, developers, investors, and other deal professionals. This is an opportunity for a seasoned attorney to take a significant role in complex commercial real estate matters while working in a collaborative and entrepreneurial legal environment. Position Summary The Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactional Attorney will represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions from initial structuring and due diligence through negotiation, documentation, closing, and post-closing matters. The attorney will be expected to independently manage sophisticated transactions, provide practical and business-oriented legal advice, negotiate directly with opposing counsel and transaction parties, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in complex commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, leasing, and related transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, development agreements, easements, and other real estate documents. Handle commercial real estate financing transactions, including acquisition, construction, bridge, mezzanine, and permanent financing. Draft and negotiate loan documents, guaranties, security instruments, intercreditor agreements, and other financing-related documentation. Draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial leases, including office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and other asset classes. Advise clients regarding property acquisitions and dispositions, including title, survey, zoning, environmental, land-use, and other due diligence issues. Structure and negotiate real estate joint ventures, partnerships, LLC arrangements, and other ownership structures. Coordinate with lenders, title companies, surveyors, brokers, developers, architects, consultants, and other third-party professionals. Identify and resolve legal and business issues that may affect the economics, timing, or feasibility of a transaction. Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines. Communicate directly with sophisticated clients and provide practical, commercially focused legal advice. Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate. Assist with the development and expansion of the firm's commercial real estate practice. Qualifications 7+ years of substantive commercial real estate transactional experience. Strong experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from beginning through closing. Demonstrated experience with commercial acquisitions and dispositions, development, financing, leasing, or real estate joint ventures. Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to independently manage complex matters and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel. Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission in good standing to the applicable state bar. $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
