Job Description

Senior Counsel - Commercial Law Our client (a global corporation) has a Senior Counsel - Commercial opening at their headquarters in Houston. Position requires a minimum of 6 years of general transactional / commercial legal experience in a law firm or corporate setting. Ideal candidate will have experience negotiating and drafting various commercial agreements (MSA's, purchase & sales contracts, lending / finance agreements, services agreements, construction contracts, CDA's / NDA's, supply chain / purchasing agreements and employment contracts). Company offers a generous base salary, annual bonus and impressive retirement and benefits program. Minimum of 6 years of corporate legal experience with a law firm or corporation. Support existing legal team members on all aspects of various contractual, financing and asset matters. Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Licensed to practice law in the United States (J.D. Required). Risk Management Experience - Candidate will identify, evaluate and mitigate potential threats to company reputation, security and financial stability. Experience with
FCPA, UK
Bribery Act, Import / Export matters. Experience in Environmental Health and Safety is a plus, but not required. Legal experience in the areas of construction, infrastructure, telecommunications or transportation would be helpful.
