Job Description

Spanish Speaking Consultation Attorney The Law Offices of Omar Gastelum & Associates Job Category Legal Overview Description Looking for a part-time attorney to conduct 15-30 minute consultations in Spanish, review documents and follow up with email to member after consultation. Must be bilingual and fluent in Spanish (read, write and speak). Initial training and onboarding is recommended to be done on-site. The particular days are flexible. Working remotely is available upon approval from the firm once the attorney feels confident working outside of the office. This position has potential to evolve into a full-time position with the opportunity to do appearance attorney work and case work. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and be exposed to many different areas of law in a flexible, part-time position. Perfect opportunity for a seasoned attorney looking to downsize their caseload or a sole proprietor looking for supplemental income while still able to maintain a caseload.
  • This position allows for an opportunity to increase the earning potential by offering a referral fee structure for the consultations that turn into retained cases.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide advice and guidance to members
  • Review member documents
  • Draft letters and soft pleadings
  • Follow up with email to member after consultation
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure ethical conduct in all aspects of legal practice
Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • SPANISH IS REQUIRED
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
