Job Description
We are looking for an experienced attorney to join a collaborative litigation practice in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. This position offers the chance to manage sophisticated disputes while also contributing to matters involving real estate law and related business issues. The role is well suited for a lawyer who combines strong courtroom and case strategy skills with a client-focused approach and an interest in working closely with a supportive legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, including drafting pleadings, overseeing discovery, preparing motions, and supporting trial strategy.
- Represent clients in a diverse caseload involving business disputes, property-related conflicts, and connected real estate matters.
- Perform thorough legal research and prepare persuasive written work product such as briefs, memoranda, and other court filings.
- Coordinate communications with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members to keep matters moving efficiently.
- Participate in depositions, case planning, and evidentiary development to strengthen litigation positions and advance client objectives.
- Partner with senior attorneys and colleagues on legal strategy, advisory work, and transactional issues related to real estate matters.
- Maintain organized case files and monitor deadlines using case management tools and established litigation procedures.
- Active bar admission required.
- At least 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
- Demonstrated background in commercial litigation.
- Experience with real estate law, real estate disputes, or a strong ability to develop in this area.
- Working knowledge of Pennsylvania state court practice and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work primarily on-site in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, with limited remote flexibility based on business needs and performance.
- Experience with briefing, contract-related matters, and case management software is preferred.
