Job Summary A legal services organization is seeking a detail-oriented Witness Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Novato, CA. This role is ideal for a bilingual legal professional who enjoys coordinating deposition logistics, communicating with attorneys and legal teams, and keeping fast-moving case activity organized and on track. The Witness Coordinator will support deposition scheduling, subpoena preparation, witness communication, and related administrative coordination for active legal matters. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative legal environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and exposure to meaningful case support responsibilities. Candidates who are organized, responsive, comfortable speaking with clients, and able to manage a high volume of deadlines will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate deposition requirements for non-party witnesses and support appropriate scheduling and notice procedures based on attorney direction.
- Manage attorney-requested client depositions by reviewing client information and routing matters to paralegals for notice preparation and further scheduling.
- Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, deposition teams, witnesses, and opposing counsel regarding deposition scheduling, confirmations, postponements, and status updates.
- Coordinate deposition logistics with witnesses, including identifying technology, equipment, and other appearance-related needs.
- Prepare employer subpoenas upon attorney request, including researching employer information, coordinating service, and confirming appearance details.
- Track deposition schedules, activity, and case-related updates to maintain accurate awareness of deposition status. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25 to $28 per hour.
