Job Description

About the Role Clawson & Staubes is seeking a litigation attorney to join its growing practice. The successful candidate will manage an active litigation caseload and handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation. Attorneys in this role work directly with clients and insurance carriers, evaluate liability and damages, develop case strategy, and provide timely analysis and recommendations. We are looking for a lawyer who understands that excellent client service is built on responsiveness, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through. About the Firm Since 1975, Clawson & Staubes has been a trusted leader in insurance defense, known for delivering prompt, bold, and innovative legal service throughout the Carolinas. Key Responsibilities Manage an active litigation caseload from assignment through resolution or trial Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs Take and defend depositions Attend mediations, hearings, and trials Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation strategy Provide timely reporting, analysis, and recommendations to clients and carriers Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina licensure is a plus At least two years of experience in insurance defense or civil litigation Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Professional, responsive, and accountable in communications with clients, colleagues, and others Committed to providing excellent client service through prompt communication and follow-through How to Apply Submit your resume and cover letter to jobs@cslaw.com.
