Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Associate to support civil rights compliance activities in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for someone who can manage sensitive legal and administrative work related to complaints, accommodations, and appeals while maintaining accurate documentation and organized case records. The role will play an important part in helping the team address a sustained increase in workload and uphold federal and state compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and organize legal case files by entering relevant information into databases and preparing records for review by case processors and program leadership.
  • Support the handling of discrimination complaints, reasonable accommodation matters, and related appeals by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for evaluation.
  • Record case activity in a timely manner and help track progress so matters move efficiently through established case management processes.
  • Prepare concise case summaries and supporting materials for internal stakeholders to assist with review, analysis, and decision-making.
  • Provide administrative and legal support to department leadership when responding to complainants and addressing case-related inquiries.
  • Assist with high-volume transactional work tied to civil rights compliance functions while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to essential business process activities by adapting to shifting priorities and taking on specialized assignments beyond routine administrative support.
