Mon to Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm

DESCRIPTION
Performs attorney work for the Child Support Division. Work involves representing state interest in judicial and administrative matters, and providing legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program and staff.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
TAAGs will assist Office of the Attorney General Attorneys in legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce, modify or terminate court orders for child support and medical support. Represents the State of Texas in administrative hearings, Provides legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program Develops and delivers training Skill in legal writing, mediation, and negotiation Supporting OAG trial lawyers by preparing sound opinions, conducting investigations and performing legal research
Experience:
One-year experience in handling Family Law cases in the state of Texas Experience in handling a high volume legal practice.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Licensing:
Must be licensed to practice Law in the state of Texas.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach. - Ability to lift, push, pull, up to 25 lbs.
