Job Description

Description We are looking for an accomplished Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a respected law firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. This position offers the chance to take ownership of sophisticated business disputes, work closely with clients, and contribute to strategic case decisions from the earliest stages through final resolution. The role is ideal for a lawyer who values strong advocacy, practical counsel, and long-term career growth within a collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee commercial and business dispute matters through each phase of litigation, from initial assessment and filing strategy to settlement or trial preparation.
  • Prepare persuasive legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and client communications, with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity.
  • Analyze legal issues, investigate facts, and shape litigation approaches that align with client objectives and case developments.
  • Lead and support key litigation activities such as depositions, hearings, mediations, and other court-related proceedings.
  • Advise clients directly on case status, risk exposure, and practical legal options in a clear, business-minded manner.
  • Partner with attorneys and support staff to coordinate case strategy, share insights, and strengthen overall advocacy efforts.
  • Balance multiple active matters and procedural deadlines while maintaining excellent organization, responsiveness, and precision. Requirements
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, with substantial exposure to commercial, corporate, or business-related disputes preferred.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials in a litigation setting.
  • Strong legal research, written advocacy, oral communication, and courtroom preparation skills.
  • Experience managing cases with increasing independence and responsibility.
  • Sound analytical judgment, problem-solving ability, and a consistent commitment to professionalism and client service.
