Position Overview:
Jenkins Bagley Sperry, PLLC is seeking a full-time attorney to join our St. George office. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal law, community association law, real estate law, and/or civil litigation. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with Toquerville City, a rapidly growing municipality in Southern Utah. Approximately 50% of the attorney's time will be dedicated to assisting with municipal legal matters, while the remaining 50% will involve a combination of appeal authority proceedings, real property matters, community association representation, and litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with municipal officials, homeowner associations, property managers and developers on a variety of legal matters.
Responsibilities:
Assist in providing legal counsel to Toquerville City on municipal governance, land use, development, and related legal matters Attend and advise at municipal meetings as needed Handle appeal authority and administrative proceedings Represent homeowner and condominium associations on governance, enforcement, collections, and compliance matters Advise clients on real property and land use issues Draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and prepare written legal opinions Represent clients in litigation, mediation, and court proceedings Communicate effectively with clients, governmental entities, courts, and opposing counsel Stay current on developments in municipal, real estate, community association, and litigation law
