Our firm practices in traffic/OWI defense, estate planning, probate, real estate, corporate, personal injury, and family law. Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand their estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related legal needs. Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments. Assist clients with probate and estate administration matters, including preparation and filing of pleadings, petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and other court documents. Represent personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and other interested parties in probate and trust matters. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Assist with contested and uncontested probate proceedings, trust disputes, and related litigation as appropriate. Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, financial institutions, beneficiaries, and other professionals. Assist with trust funding, beneficiary designations, asset transfers, and other estate-planning implementation matters. Analyze estate and trust documents and identify potential legal, tax, and administration issues. Assist with estate and trust accountings and the review of financial records and asset information. Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, insurance professionals, and other advisors when appropriate. Attend probate hearings, mediations, depositions, client meetings, and other proceedings. Manage assigned matters, deadlines, and client files efficiently and accurately. Maintain detailed and organized case files and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and filing requirements. Stay current on developments in probate, estate planning, trust administration, and applicable state and federal law. Provide thoughtful, practical, and responsive legal advice while maintaining strong client relationships. Assist senior attorneys with complex estate planning, probate, and trust matters. Participate in business development, networking, community outreach, and other firm initiatives as appropriate.
