Job Description

Pay:
$100,000.00 per year Job description: We are seeking a West Virginia licensed attorney to join our practice as an Associate Attorney. Experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. However, any familiarity with West Virginia title searches, title examination, mineral searches, mineral ownership research, real estate matters, or litigation is a significant plus and will put you ahead. This is a great opportunity for a newer attorney or a candidate looking to build practical experience in a relaxed setting with mentorship and training.
Responsibilities may include:
Legal research and writing Title searches and mineral-related work Real estate-related legal matters Litigation support, as needed File management and case organization Timekeeping and maintaining accurate records of work performed
Qualifications:
Active license to practice law in West Virginia Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accurate time records Willingness to learn and take direction Preferred qualifications, but not required: Familiarity with WV title searches or mineral searches Experience in real estate law Experience in litigation Experience in probate, estates, or related matters Application instructions: Please submit: Résumé A brief description of any relevant experience in real estate, title work, mineral work, probate/estate matters, or litigation Whether you took any of the following law school courses, and if so, the grade earned: Real Estate; Mineral Law / Oil & Gas / Energy Law; Wills, Trusts, and Estates Optional writing sample in any area of law We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, trainable, and capable of producing strong written work.
