Job Description

Overview Sole practitioner with over 30 years experience in real estate and landlord/tenant law is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Support Staff. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with both court and jury trial preparation, discovery and draft of pleadings. In addition, there is some transactional work related to loans and operating agreements. Responsibilities Assist attorney with legal research using LexisNexis, and other research tools. Manage legal case files and organization of documents. Prepare and draft legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Conduct interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather relevant information for ongoing cases. Support litigation activities by organizing evidence, maintaining case calendars, and tracking deadlines. Complete California Judicial Council Forms. Provide administrative support including proofreading documents, summarizing transcripts, and organizing court filings. Experience Proven expertise in litigation support functions such as document review, legal research, and case management. Familiarity with law and motion, discovery and legal case management. Proficiency with legal software tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis, iManage. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with accuracy. Effective communication skills to gather detailed information from clients or witnesses. Knowledge of document management systems and data entry procedures essential for maintaining organized case files. Education Bachelor's Degree Required. Juris Doctorate preferred (license not necessary)
Pay:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
