Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-4:30 PM (In Person) (Parking Provided) Join a Mission-Driven Organization The Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee for the Districts of Hawaii, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands is seeking detail-oriented and analytical Claims Analysts to join our professional team in downtown Honolulu. Our office plays a vital role in the administration of Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, working closely with debtors, creditors, attorneys, and the Bankruptcy Court to ensure the fair and efficient administration of cases. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret legal and financial information while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, court procedures, and office policies. The Claims Analyst works closely with creditors, attorneys, court personnel, and internal staff to support the accurate administration of bankruptcy cases and the proper distribution of funds. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze secured, priority unsecured, and general unsecured creditor claims for accuracy and compliance. Accurately enter and maintain claim data within case management systems. Interpret court orders and legal documents affecting claims administration and case processing. Maintain organized electronic case files and records. Prepare and file documents through the Bankruptcy Court's electronic filing system (ECF). Conduct case and claims audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Assist with preparation for Meetings of Creditors, confirmation hearings, and other bankruptcy proceedings. Communicate professionally with attorneys, creditors, court personnel, and other stakeholders regarding case-related matters. Process, track, and maintain incoming correspondence and documentation. Support ongoing compliance and quality-control efforts within the office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or relevant coursework in business, finance, accounting, legal studies, or a related field preferred. Experience A minimum of three (3) consecutive years of professional experience in a legal, financial, banking, lending, accounting, compliance, collections, claims administration, or similar professional environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strongly preferred:
