8am - 5pm Job Description Legal Assistant Providing administrative and operational support to attorneys and the legal team to ensure efficient delivery of legal services. This role involves managing documentation, coordinating communications, and supporting legal processes while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, correspondence and reports Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and manage deadlines and key dates Maintain and organize legal files (electronic and physical) in accordance with record retention policies Assist with standard legal processes, such as collecting documentation for personnel records requests Assist with drafting routine legal documents and correspondence Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel and other third parties as needed Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Support billing processes, including invoices, and expense submissions Monitor compliance with filing requirements, court rules, and regulatory deadlines, as needed Assist with document management systems and e-discovery processes, where applicable
Skills:
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail and organizational ability Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint) and legal management systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong professional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative role within a law firm or corporate legal department
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting litigation, compliance, or corporate legal functions Familiarity with legal document management systems Knowledge of legal billing systems and settlement payment systems Experience with regulatory or compliance-related documentation Key Attributes for
