Job Description

Prepare and compile discovery for felony case files; submitted to the District Attorney's office for prosecution; track and follow up on previous cases submitted for additional discovery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essentialfunctions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below. Mustbe able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without areasonable accommodation. Prepare case files for discovery; submit to the District Attorney's office. Review reports, documentation and/or other items needed for discovery; evaluate the need for additional information. Assist the District Attorney's office in gathering additional information and documentation needed for prosecution. Communicate with the District Attorney's office regarding status. Coordinate with Detectives and Officers to obtain documentation. Conduct research and compile necessary information from a variety of databases. Contact various Law Enforcement agencies and local business to obtain items needed for discovery. Must be able to maintain confidentiality related to cases and incidents.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Additional duties as assigned to complete the mission of the Department. Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Associates Degree from an accredited college or university; and Two (2) years experience in law enforcement, security, legal, or investigative work.
Environmental:
Office Environment, exposure to computer screens for extensive periods of time
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical conditions necessary for walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive computer screen, keyboard, copier. Light lifting and carrying required.
