The Senior Child Support Assistant will: Serve as a Lead Worker; Assist Legal Assistants, Management, and Attorneys in processing cases. How does it get done? The Senior Child Support Assistant is responsible for: Complex child support establishment and enforcement cases; Preparing the most complex financial case calculations; Appearing with the Department Attorneys in court when needed. Who are the customers? Parties of child support cases; Child Support Assistants (CSA); Child Support Services Division (CSSD) Management; Child Support Services Division (CSSD) Attorneys; State Disbursement Unit; Centralized Enforcement Unit. Ideal Candidate Parties of child support cases; Child Support Assistants (CSA); Child Support Services Division (CSSD) Management; Child Support Services Division (CSSD) Attorneys; State Disbursement Unit; Centralized Enforcement Unit. Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years' experience in legal research or legal document preparation, accounting, finance or social health, or human service program development or delivery and/or clerical experience in a Child Support Office. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate. Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required. May need to testify in court hearings.
